Instructions
Prepare the Steak: Begin by seasoning the cubed sirloin steak liberally with salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Allow the seasoned steak to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to enhance its flavor and tenderness.
Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet or frying pan, add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and place it over medium-high heat. Wait until the butter melts, becomes foamy, and starts to sizzle without browning.
Sear the Steak Bites: Once the skillet is hot, add the steak cubes in a single layer. If your skillet isn’t large enough, cook the steak in batches to ensure even cooking. Sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes on one side until a flavorful brown crust forms. Flip the steak bites over and continue to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting timing as needed for your desired doneness.
Add Garlic and Herbs: Lower the heat to medium. Push the perfectly seared steak bites to one side of the skillet. In the empty space, introduce the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, along with the minced garlic, freshly chopped rosemary, and thyme. Cook this fragrant mixture, stirring frequently, for 1-2 minutes until the garlic turns golden and aromatic.
Combine and Finish: Gently toss the seared steak bites in the garlic herb butter mixture until they are evenly coated. Allow them to cook for an additional minute to let the flavors meld beautifully.
Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove the skillet from heat and transfer the steak bites to a serving platter. Generously sprinkle with finely chopped fresh parsley for a vibrant touch before serving.
Notes
Serve hot with crusty bread for soaking up the garlic butter.
